I've only used this to charge my camera battery so far and it worked fine. Since I'm Electronically-Challenged in every way, my daughter adjusted the pins and turned the battery over so I could see + and - ...

I purchased this to replace a previous charger I had purchased here on Amazon (THAT one was a piece of garbage!) to replace the original charger that came w/ my Sony Cybershot that I lost while traveling. This charger turned out to be BETTER than the original charger that Sony gives w/ the camera! I can actually charge the camera's battery @ the same time as I was charging my Apple IPod or my daughter's DSi or even my Blackberry! It also came w/ a car charger. It's also great because you can adjust the pins that come into contact w/ the battery & then you can charge a bunch of different batteries! I am now able to travel w/ this 1 charger to charge the batteries of our Sony Cybershots, a Nikon D40, a Canon 40D, 4 IPods, 1 Nook, 2 Kindles, 2 DSis & 2 PSPs! AWESOME! I'm definetly ordering 1 more that was I can charge 4 things all @ once while on the road since we are ALWAYS on the road!

Per the poor instructions that comes with, it states "Color is blue once connected with AC or DC input sources; red when charging, Change to blue once battery is full". When I put in a cell phone battery that was about 60% charged, it showed a purple light. Huh? When I put in a Canon camera battery that was about 50% charge, it stayed blue, indicating that it was fully charged. I left it in for 10 minutes, just to make sure. No change. Stuck it back in the original Canon charger, which showed it was still at 50% capacity. Either the one I got is a dud, or the thing is just inaccurate. I'm sending it back.
